A Human-Centric Path In the Age of A.I.

I got a lot of responses to last week’s newsletter about the content race being over.

Some of you agreed. Some of you pushed back. But the most common question I got was this:

“Okay, so what do I actually DO?”

It’s a fair question.

Last week, I laid out two paths I see for coaches and consultants in 2026:

  1. Master AI deeply and use it as leverage.

  2. Shift your strategy away from volume and into trust, relationships, collaboration and community.

As much as I am enjoying the challenge of learning and utilizing AI to increase my output, I keep being drawn in by the power of connection and collaborations.

When I look back at my 20 years in business, all of my successes were a result of collaborations. I would think for most people the same is true.

The solopreneur has to either master A.I. completely or risk being mastered by A.I.

But when we align in goals and vision with one or more, we amplify our reach, our influence and our impact.

And that is what we’ve quietly started building.

And this week we kick things off with our first Live Virtual Event.

The Clients and Cashflow Colab
March 4-6th
9am - 1pm
Recordings Included

This isn’t another summit.

It’s a curated training event.

Each session creating a complete plan.

You’ll leave with your 6 step marketing plan.

Here’s What We’re Building

We brought together 10 experienced entrepreneurs, all aligned in our philosophy of service, to answer a single question:

What would a client acquisition strategy built for 2026 look like?

A strategy that doesn’t rely on the content hustle. A strategy built on trust, not just traffic. A strategy that leverages human connection and collaboration in an age of AI.

The result is the Clients & Cashflow CoLab, which we’re hosting from March 4-6.

But this isn’t another virtual summit.

This is different.

This is a live demonstration of a single, woven philosophy and approach for client acquisition. Each of the 10 collaborators is teaching one piece of that strategy. It’s designed to be a cohesive, actionable plan you can walk away with and execute.

It’s a case study in the human-centric approach, and it’s the best answer I’ve got to the question, “So what do I do now?”

The 5 Pillars of a Human-Centric Client Acquisition System

Whether you join the CoLab or not, you need to understand the pillars that make this approach work.

For the last 18 years, I’ve built my businesses on these five foundations. They worked in 2008, and they’re even more critical in 2026.

1. Messaging Clarity

This is the starting point. If your ideal clients don’t instantly connect with your value, nothing else matters. Most coaches struggle here because they’re either too broad (“I help people live their best life”) or too jargon-heavy (“I leverage synergistic frameworks to optimize human potential”).

Clarity isn’t about what you do. It’s about articulating the problem you solve so well that your ideal client feels seen, heard, and understood. It’s the difference between “I’m a leadership coach” and “I help second-in-commands navigate the politics of the C-suite so they can get promoted to CEO.”

2. Lead Conversion

This is the gap between visibility and dialogue. You can have all the followers in the world, but if you don’t have a system for turning those followers into actual conversations, you have an audience, not a business.

This isn’t about high-pressure sales tactics. It’s about creating natural, low-friction pathways for interested people to raise their hand and say, “I want to talk to you.” It’s about designing your content, your offers, and your calls to action to invite dialogue, not just consumption.

3. Trust & Visibility

In 2026, trust is the bottleneck. Attention is cheap. Visibility is easy to manufacture with AI. But trust? Trust has to be earned.

This pillar is about building a presence that creates real credibility before you ever get into a sales conversation. It’s about showing your work, sharing your philosophy, and demonstrating your expertise in a way that makes people feel like they know you, like you, and trust you before they ever speak to you.

4. Growth Channels

Where are you actually showing up? And is it working?

So many coaches are still grinding on platforms that are no longer effective for their audience. They’re trying to build on Instagram when their clients are on LinkedIn. They’re chasing TikTok trends when their audience wants long-form content.

This pillar is about making strategic choices. It’s about picking one or two channels where your ideal clients are already congregating and going deep, not wide. It’s about understanding the culture of that platform and showing up in a way that adds value, not just noise.

5. Strategic Collaboration

This is the great accelerator. It’s the compound effect of aligned partnerships. When you collaborate with the right people, you’re not just borrowing their audience; you’re borrowing their trust.

This isn’t about finding anyone with a big list. It’s about finding people who are aligned with your values, who serve a similar audience, and who have a reputation you’d be proud to stand beside. One strategic collaboration can be worth more than a year of solo content creation.

So, which of these pillars needs the most attention in your business right now?

To help you figure that out, we built a free, 3-minute scorecard. It will help you diagnose your biggest opportunity for growth.

A Case Study in Human-First Media

I just recorded a conversation with Alex Sanfilippo, the founder of PodMatch, that’s a perfect example of this human-centric approach in action.

We talked about podcasting and specifically, why it’s more valuable than ever in the age of AI.

Alex’s take is brilliant. He says podcasting isn’t saturated because most people quit. They “podfade.” The opportunity for consistent creators and guests is massive.

He also made a point that I want to tattoo on every coach’s forehead:

“Big numbers don’t always win. Aligned numbers win.”

He asked, “If you had 50 of your ideal buyers in a room, would you take that stage?”

Of course you would. That’s what an aligned niche podcast is.

This is the human-first mindset. It’s about connection, not just content. It’s about relationships, not just reach. It’s a masterclass in using a human-first medium to build trust and authority in a way that AI never could.

🧭 You Choose

As I said last week, you have a choice.

You can commit yourself to mastering AI and go all-in on the race. That’s a valid path.

Or you can build a business on a foundation that AI can’t touch: genuine connection, strategic conversations, and aligned collaboration.

Both work. But pick one to go deep. Sitting in the middle is where you’ll get hurt.

If you’re leaning toward the human-centric path, the Clients & Cashflow CoLab is the best way to move down that path this week.

It’s the strategy, the mindset, and the community all in one place.

Be in the room.
